Our last production in April was Outside Edge written by Richard Harris and directed by Carol Berry. Our "Extras" group, consisting of non actors or actors who are not in the current play undertook to direct, produce and oversee all that was needed to put on a play. The play was sold out on all three nights!
Once again CADS members manned a stall at the Winkfield Fete in May. There were lots of old photos plus new ones of our last two productions. The children's game was very popular as was the quiz for the older generation. The winner of the quiz was notified the next day and presented with his prize, which was a large wicker hamper filled with goodies. Just across from our stand was another CADS member running a Toy Tombola and a 'Name the Teddies' stall. Chloe Taylor is fundraising for a year of volunteering in Senegal in West Africa.
Our pub nights continue to be very successful at the Fifield Inn, Fifield. We meet on the first Friday in every month at 7.30 for a meal and a little later for those joining us for a convivial drink. We were very pleased to see the landlord with a group of about fifteen people attend our last production. He said they all enjoyed it and would be coming to our next play.
