Our recent Production of Blue Remembered Hills in June was our first ever outdoor performance. A tour de force by Director, Actors, Sound and Light Engineers - in fact, by all involved. The audiences were hugely impressed by the production and the great efforts that had been made to evoke the war-time feel of Dennis Potter's outstanding evocation of childhood in the latet 1940's.
In September, we celebrated the wedding of Pat McBryde and Roger Fletcher. A truly magical day attended by many CADS members who joined Pat and Roger's families and friends for a heart-warming service in St Peter's, Cranbourne followed by a magnificent Reception at Bird Hills.
Pub Nights. Our Pub Nights continue on the first Friday of every month at the Fifield Inn, Fifield, commencing at 7.30 for those wishing to have a meal, with others joining in a little later if they just want a convivial drink.
The September Pub Night was a special occasion with delicious snacks provided for everyone by Pat and Roger in honour of their wedding. During the October Pub Night, we were entertained by a singer who is currently appearing in Hairspray in the West End.
The November Pub Night will be on Friday 6th November. Do come and join us!
The December Pub Night has been cancelled - to be replaced by some other seasonal celebrations yet to be announced - so - continue to watch this space!
