WELCOME TO CADS

We are one of the most friendly and successful AmDram groups in the area. We put on a variety of plays from comedy to the more serious and always welcome new members whether it is to act or help behind the scenes.

OUR STAGE AND BEHIND IT!

We are unique in that we have to build our own stage just days before each production. We have it in kit form and we are always looking for willing helpers who are good with a hammer and screwdriver to put this together.

We also welcome help with front of house, make-up, costumes, props, scenery, running the bar and all the things essential to a successful production.
Of course if you can put your hand to directing a play, then do get in touch with us!

OUR PRODUCTIONS

We put on two productions a year, in April and October. We always play to full houses with a great exciting, atmosphere. Our productions cover a wide range of theatre including serious drama, comedy, period pieces, newly written plays including ones written by one of our own members.

SOCIAL ACTIVITES

Our social calendar includes walks, picnics, pub nights, themed evenings and visits to other local productions.

QUOTE, from a member!

"I have now been with CADS for 8 years and I can honestly say I do not regret the day I walked apprehensively through the door."
Mike Young, Winkfield Row

QUOTE, from the press!

Following our production of "Murder at Lambton Hall".
"The word amateur in the group's name is almost misleading."

More Men Needed!

As part of our World War I commemoration production, we are still looking to cast 2 more men to be soldiers reading a letter on stage for 'The Christmas Truce'. You will be reading a letter alongside other soldiers, and will only be required on stage for around 15 minutes. (No line learning required). A uniform will be provided and rehearsals for these roles will be on some Tuesday evenings starting middle of August.

If you are interested in finding out more and being part of this commemorative production, please contact Viv on 01344 886456.

For more info on performance dates, etc., please see the Shows page.
